Any device that uses biometric identification should include more than one means of identifying the user. In this example a user with both hands in casts is unable to provide a thumbprint and will not be able to pass through the identification station. This standard applies to all devices that use biometric identification including information transaction machines, computers (laptop, desktop and handheld), and security devices such as card scanners, fingerprint scanners, random number generation devices, retinal scanners and voice recognition devices.
