For some technologies, the database lists technical prerequisites that need to be considered before attempting to integrate such technologies into the workplace. As well, advice in the form of best practices or guidelines is provided for some products and services.

However, armed with general information found in the toolkit it should be possible to use your favourite Internet search engine to learn more about specific technologies and vendors. One source of information that can be used to identify Canadian assistive technology companies and service providers is the Canadian Company Capabilities database provided by Industry Canada.
